If you serve, or served, as a sworn or credentialed law enforcement professional at the local, state, federal, or military level, and you are preparing for the private sector, you can apply to receive the complete BlueBridge Transitions program at no charge. Your application is confidential, and applying costs you nothing but the time it takes to tell us your story.

How selection works
Every application is read in full by our program team and considered on its own merits, not scored against a formula. See how we review applications below. We respond to every applicant, either way.
Before you apply, three things to know.
How Selection Works
A conversation, not a scorecard.
We know what it feels like to submit a package and hear nothing back. That is not how this works. Every application is read in full by our program team, all of whom served in law enforcement and made this transition themselves, and every applicant hears from a person.
- Where you are in the transition. Timing matters, and the officer separating in ninety days and the one planning three years out both have a real case. We would rather help someone early than watch them scramble later.
- What the program can actually change for you. The clearer your goals, or the more genuinely stuck you feel, the more our team has to work with. Both are good reasons to apply.
- Fit with the support we are equipped to provide. Our expertise is the law enforcement to private-sector move specifically. We say so honestly when someone would be better served elsewhere, and we try to point them somewhere useful.
- Your circumstances, in your words. Financial pressure, an unplanned separation, a medical retirement, a family depending on the timeline. Tell us. It is considered, and it is held in confidence.
- Capacity right now. When funding is committed, strong applicants are held for the next cycle rather than declined, and we tell you that is what happened.
We are a small foundation funded entirely by donors, so the number of recipients we can take on at any one time is limited by the funding available. What is not limited is the care we take deciding. There is no cutoff score, no minimum rank, and no single gatekeeper. We look at each application as a whole and consider things like:
If we cannot take you on immediately, you will hear a reason and a realistic timeline, not silence. Applicants we cannot place are welcome to reapply, and many do. The application below is the beginning of a conversation, and the more of your situation you share, the better we can serve you.
